Rosalía's 'Lux' Debuts at No. 4, Marking Her First Top 10 Album
Rosalía, the Spanish singer-songwriter, has achieved a significant milestone with the release of her latest album, 'Lux'. This 15-song (18-song on CD and vinyl) LP has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, powered by an impressive 46,000 equivalent album units in its first week. This marks her first top 10 album, a testament to her growing success in the music industry.
The album features collaborations with renowned artists such as Björk, Yves Tumor, Carminho, Estrella Morente, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, and Yahritza y su Esencia. It has already amassed 34 million official streams and 19,000 sales, showcasing Rosalía's ability to captivate audiences with her unique sound. Her previous album, 'Motomami', which debuted and peaked at No. 33, also charted on the Billboard 200.
'Lux' was introduced with the single 'Berghain', and its success can be attributed to the physical sales of four CD boxed sets, a pair of distinct vinyl LPs (one signed by Rosalía), and a standard CD and digital download album. Rosalía shared her thoughts with El País, explaining that the word 'lux' has always been a recurring theme in her mind, and the album's creation was a result of her newfound understanding and emotional release during the 'Motomami' tour.
In other chart news, Tomorrow X Together's Yeonjun made a strong debut with his project, 'No Labels: Part 01', entering the Billboard 200 at No. 10. Olivia Dean's 'The Art of Loving' also climbed the ranks, reaching No. 5. However, the top spot remains occupied by Taylor Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl', which spent its sixth consecutive week at No. 1, making Swift only the second artist in 2025 to achieve this feat, following Morgan Wallen's 'I'm the Problem'.
