Unveiling the Faces Behind Europe's Rising Female Producers: The Erich Pommer Institut's Series' Women Program
Unleashing the Power of Women in European Television:
The Erich Pommer Institut (EPI) is set to launch its fifth edition of the European female leadership program, Series' Women, with a diverse group of 15 female producers from 10 European countries. This initiative aims to empower and elevate the careers of these talented individuals, fostering a more inclusive and competitive European drama series industry.
A Platform for Growth and Collaboration:
Series' Women is more than just a training program; it's a supportive community where female producers can connect, share ideas, and gain confidence. Through curated mentoring sessions with acclaimed international industry professionals, participants will receive guidance on topics such as visibility, leadership, and digital entrepreneurship. The program also offers 1:1 pitching coaching, providing valuable insights into the European drama series landscape.
Networking Opportunities and Industry Exposure:
A key aspect of the program is the opportunity to network with industry leaders. Participants will have the chance to attend two of Europe's premier series markets: TV Drama Vision in Sweden and the Series Mania Forum in France. These events provide a platform for producers to showcase their projects, connect with potential partners, and gain valuable industry exposure.
Diversity Training and Supportive Partners:
To further enhance the program, EPI has incorporated an online diversity training course tailored for hiring managers and decision-makers at producers' companies. This initiative promotes inclusivity and encourages diverse hiring practices within the industry. The program is funded by Creative Europe - Media, with Series Mania Forum as the event partner. Other partners include FOCAL, Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), Screen Ireland, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), European Women's Audiovisual Network (EWA), Göteborg Film Festival, Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI), and The European Producers Club (EPC).
