The Cut Bend Fold Play House serves a migrant businessman, his wife, and their three daughters. Located on a compact plot measuring 41 by 102 feet (approximately 12.5 by 31 meters), this residence is uniquely positioned at the end of a cul-de-sac. However, this seemingly advantageous location comes with its own set of hurdles. Surrounded on three sides by neighboring houses and bordered by a tall apartment complex along its longer edge, the site offers limited access to natural light and air circulation. As a result, maintaining privacy becomes a significant concern.
To tackle these challenges, the architecture team, led by Principal Architect Gurjit Singh Matharoo alongside Project Architect Trisha Patel and Architect Aliza Mehnaz, devised innovative solutions. The project was supported by various specialists, including Rushabh Consultants for structural design and Jit Engineering Services Ltd for electrical consultancy.
